Training Your Springer Spaniel:
Correct introduction to live birds, shotgun noise, retrieving game
and obedience is a must if you want your dog to fulfill its promise.
The ideal time to start this program is 6 to 9 months of age.
Over the past thirty-seven years, we have trained hundreds of spaniels and retrievers for clients
(upland and waterwork), however, due to travel, waterfowl and big
game hunting throughout North America, we are no longer training
client dogs, as we choose to concentrate on our own competitive
spaniels.
Since early 2005 we have sent our
competitive spaniels to Gary and Cindy Wilson at Sunrise Kennels in New
York State. We have known Gary Wilson for more than 25 years.
He is among the handful of top professional trainers in North
America. His record of training top quality field trial and hunting
dogs is second to none.
We highly recommend Gary and Cindy for their
ability to get the most out of your spaniel. Whether you are

Sunrise Kennels sits on 200 acres set in the
rolling hills of the Finger Lake District (located 1 hour south of Rochester,
New York). Gary and Cindy's land is cultivated specifically to train
springer spaniels year round with plenty of light cover for the warm summer
months and numerous ponds sprinkled throughout the area to cool down the dogs
and to do water work.

Travel plans? Extended trip?
We offer your "Springville springer spaniel" camp activities
with an active lifestyle while you are away.
- Twice daily walks with all spaniels in kennel, the opportunity
of playing and running with new-found buddies and cousins, minimum
one-mile each run through the fields and woods to the pond and
back. They love it!!! There are about 12 of
our spaniels on each romp.
- A chance for us to answer questions and clean-up obedience issues
your spaniel may have.
- Heated sleeping quarters
- Bath prior to pickup
- Reservation required as we take maximum of 3 Springville guest
spaniels at any one time
- $400 per month (minimum one month stay)
